Things to know before you start
Don’t work in spurts; let your muscles relax naturally by concentrating on the part you want to relax. It takes at least 20 seconds for a force to settle and thus leaves room for tendons and joints. When the exercise lends itself to it, let gravity play (the weight of your head, your knees, etc.) to stretch gently. And do not forget that breathing, slow and deep, accompanies you and helps you.
